Bosley - Hair Restoration & Transplant - Kansas City

I highly recommend this place for hair transplant! I am a hairstylist and very picky and I received a hair transplant yesterday and so far I am so excited. Minimal pain, and they treat you so well from start to finish. They treat you like a VIP for real. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to get a hair transplant. I’m so excited to see my results as they progress in the healing process.

DO NOT GO HERE. I regret my decisions so much and wasted so much money and time. I wanted to believe they could restore my hair, my confidence, but they ruined me and made everything worse. I received my first transplant in September of 2019. The staff was great and seemed experienced in what they were doing. Years went by and i barely saw any results. So the consultant told me to try another transplant as that was a common thing to do. So I went again in late 2022 and as i sit here and type, i have reached a whole new low in my life. I went to bosley because i was so sick and tired of wearing a hat in public and using hair fibers. Its embarrassing. I sit here in 2025 and its as if i never received a hair transplant. My confidence is gone and i am left with severe depression because the last time i spoke with the staff, all they offered was another transplant. The second transplant was done by KIDS!!! These kids had to have been under the age of 25 and they seemed very inexperienced. Im not sure why bosley hires so young because the only people i want to restore my hair are people with experience. I dont think i received the number of grafts they promised me. But my hair is so thin i actually have to consider going bald. This is what the bosley team promises? 5 years, 2 transplants. One procedure done by professionals and another done by “interns”. And then get told nothing to help me on my hair journey. Im almost 30 and have been wearing a hat for the last 7 years of my youth. I cant go swimming, i cant feel the sun on my head because i am so insecure. I just want to feel freedom again. All i can do now is serve as a red herring and warn people about this place. Bosley, YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOURE DOING. You are not putting enough grafts on peoples heads. My hair is ruined and i have to consider going bald or go somewhere one last time and see if it works. But if i do go somewhere, it wont be bosely. (FYI, they dont give refunds)

The whole team was professional and efficient and ensured I was comfortable throughout the procedure. I am very thankful for them and it was a great experience!

The instructions for post-op care (verbal and written) were very clear. 10/10. However, the use of Rogaine on my vertex was not mentioned until after the procedure. This is not a big deal but I was somewhat under the impression that all, or most, of those bald areas would be treated. There were several occasions during the procedure when the technicians talked about other locations i.e. Denver, having better equipment/instruments. I think that the best (most preferred) tools should be made available to everyone involved at all locations if they believe it aids their performance. The difference between pain tolerance and pain management was explained to me near the end of the procedure. I wasn't aware that the amount of local anesthesia would have an affect on swelling. I was able to feel pain in a small portion of my head near the end but did not want to say anything in order to avoid the side effects. Maybe if I were given some of the prescribed pain meds a couple of hours before the end, I would have been more comfortable. Lastly, I began feeling a burning sensation in the donor area and asked for an ice pack. At first, it sat directly on my head but got cold within minutes. I asked for a towel to serve as a buffer and was given paper towels. The problem was that the saline solution they sprayed on my head soaked those as well as the actual towel they gave me after that. I would just suggest that towels be on hand for that purpose and changed out after every spray. Hopefully those details are useful. I am ecstatic to see what comes over the following months!
